Default Here's a random thought...

I know it's a bit of a pita to change my ranger from trapper mode to bow mode and back depending on what I'm doing (not horrendously so, but still...)

Wouldn't it be convenience to have hot keys set up for your builds, that remember the skills in your skillbar?

Cntl-F1 Trapper mode
Cntl-F2 Bow more

See what I mean?

How many missions do you need to wait for someone to set up their skills bar...

that does sound like an interesting idea, but won't alot of skill changes require att redistribution? If not it is a good idea, but only if it works in town. If it works outside, that would be a bit unfair

Of course it would only work in town...

That would also be interesting... tie it to attribute distribution to remember those as well, get an error if you don't have the rebaate points available. If not, then you'd still have to redo attributes manually; filling your skillbar is a separate event from assigning attributes.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing the other day. Obviously it would only work in town but it would certainly be a time saver even if you just wanted to change skills let alone redistribute attribute points...

yes, saving different templates for my char would sure be handy.

maybe we could save att distribution for a certain template too.

hen you change the template, you use the required refund points. if you dont have enough, you have to redistribute by hand.

thought of that as soon as i had enough skills to adapt to the mobs.

if you'd press 1 button to automatically change your skills and points allocation, sounds like a macro to me. not sure, but isnt this in the EULA as illegal?

I assume the OP meant for Anet to code such a useful tool...

Of course, an in-game feature, not externally written macro or the like.

Think weapons slots

It would work except for the attribute refund point system. It doesn't take that many clicks to change around attribute points anyway, but the shortcut skills key would be a nice feature, even better if you could implement it when creating a PvP character

Eh sure why not. Skill sets, yes. Attribute sets, no.

I have long thought that players needed to have different "belts" available to them depending on the mission or whatever. They could only be changed 'in town' or before a match started. I think it's a wonderful idea.
